Meet Katelyn Smedley, a Los Angeles, CA Catholic therapist offering trauma-informed care for abortion healing, adoption, foster care, and life transitions.
She is passionate about helping women of all ages find healing from experiences of depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, and relational wounds, and she has a particular heart for supporting foster and adoptive families as they discover their identity and rhythm as a family.
Inspired by Psalm 139 — “If I make my bed in the depths, you are there” — Katelyn trusts that there is no place too deep or too far for the reach of God’s healing presence. She considers it a privilege to witness grace unfolding in the midst of suffering and hardship, walking with her clients toward renewal, healing, and hope.
As a Catholic therapist, she seeks to create a nonjudgmental space of safety, honesty, and hope where clients can reclaim their dignity and live in freedom as beloved children of God.
